WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE TO LIVE IN LOS ANGELES

I have lived in Los Angeles more than 20 years. I have noticed that as years passed, people all around the world kept moving to Los Angeles. I understand why people who live in other countries move to Los Angeles. They just want a prosperous life. They want to better up their quality of life. But many Americans also want to become an Angeleno.
The main reason for moving to Los Angeles must be the weather. The air quality and the weather conditions are not as harsh as the other states. If you live in up North, you would freeze your  a… during the winter months, or if you live in Florida you would sweat to death because it is extremely humid during the summer days.
But in Los Angles and in near cities such as Santa Monica, Venice or in Orange County the weather never wears you out . Most months of the year, you would not turn the heater or the AC on. Waking up to the clear skies is priceless around the year except the month of June.  We call it the June gloom. Most of the month it is gloomy when you wake up because it is the Marine Layer that moves in to inland from the Pacific Ocean that looks like a cloud. But most of the days it clears up in the afternoon.
During the summer months, there is a big difference in temperatures between the inland and the beach cities like Santa Monica or Venice Beach. While the temperature in the valley or in Hollywood is about 35-40 degrees Celsius (95-100 F), it is 25 degrees Celsius ( 77 F) in the beach cities. 
Of course the weather is not the only reason of why people move down to Los Angeles. It is also the laid back life style. California is famous with its beaches. You may often see people surf, play beach volleyball, roller skate, jog , sunbath all day. Celebrities are also moving to beach cities, I have seen quite a few of them riding their bike or jogging by the beach.
You may choose to live  in City of Hollywood , Downtown Los Angeles  or Beverly Hills if you like to live a metropolitan life or you may choose to move down to Orange County for a quieter life. Not to mention the mountain life is also available if you drive 2.5 hrs from LA to Big Bear City. A good 4 months, there is snow on Big Bear Mountain. You may surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon. Can you beat that?
You can find any ethnic food in Los Angeles. The restaurants are very successful of bringing the food quality from other nations. Mexican food is the most popular in Los Angeles and Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Mediterranean Cuisines are the other popular ethnic foods of the city. It is quite common to see celebrities in restaurants in Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Brentwood. I used to go to a Sushi Restaurant called Katsuya in Brentwood and I ran in to Tom Hanks on several occasions.
The night life is the other reason for people who move out to Los Angeles. The only downside of the night life is bars and clubs make the last call for alcohol at 1.30 am and they close at 2.00 am. Because alcohol sales after 2.00  am in California is forbidden.
The other upside of Los Angeles is the proximity to Las Vegas. People drive to las Vegas on Friday and start partying right away. During the summer , they wake up with hangover and have a greasy breakfast to get over the hangover. After the breakfast, they go to the hotel’s pool for day club and keep on partying until dinner. After dinner it is time for the party again. Sunday morning before they head back to LA, they repeat the greasy breakfast and hit the road. But of course, there is always time for a quick gamble.
