Los Angeles Discovery

Day 1 — Istanbul - Los Angeles

We meet at Istanbul Airport at 05:00. Following passport, check-in, and customs formalities, we depart at 08:25 aboard Turkish Airlines flight TK 179 for Los Angeles, one of America's largest cities. After a flight of approximately 13,5 hours, taking into account the time difference, we arrive in Los Angeles at 11:55 local time. We transfer to our hotel by our private vehicle waiting for us at the airport. As we will be receiving our rooms after 15:00, you may relax in the lobby or join the optional Los Angeles & Santa Monica Tour organised by your guide. Our first stop is Hollywood Boulevard, which you will recognise from the movies. The Dolby Theatre (formerly the Kodak Theatre), which hosts the Academy Awards, the TCL Chinese Theatre, the setting for famous film premieres, the handprints and footprints of film and music icons, and the legendary Walk of Fame are among the sights we will see. From this area, you will also have the chance to photograph the city's iconic Hollywood sign written in giant letters. Afterwards, we reach Beverly Hills via the famous Sunset Strip and Santa Monica boulevards. After seeing the famous symbol of this area, we take a short stroll along Rodeo Drive, home to the world’s most luxurious boutiques and the setting for the film Pretty Woman, and view the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, where stars such as Elvis Presley and John Lennon resided for years. Leaving Rodeo Drive, we proceed to Downtown, the heart of the city; Olvera Street, the skyscrapers that form the Los Angeles skyline, and the historic districts where the city was first founded are among the sights to be seen here. After the tour, transfer to our hotel; following room distribution, free time to rest. In the evening, our guests who wish may join the optional Santa Monica Tour. In Santa Monica, glittering with street performers' shows, you can unwind with a drink at stylish cafes and enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants here. Overnight stay at our hotel.

Day 2 — Los Angeles (San Diego)

Free time in the morning. Guests who wish may join the optional San Diego Tour organised by our tour guide. Our first stop in San Diego, voted America's finest city for years, is La Jolla. Famous for its seal beach and scenic shores, we will admire the harmony of nature and luxury coastal homes in La Jolla and take plenty of photographs. Next, we head to Old Town, the birthplace of California, where an atmosphere that makes you feel as though you are in Mexico awaits you. Afterwards, our visits include Seaport Village, the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier, the Unconditional Surrender Statue capturing an iconic World War II moment, and Coronado Island, home to a US Naval Base as well as the historic Hotel del Coronado, the largest wooden building in the country and the filming location for "Some Like It Hot". Return to the hotel after the tour. Overnight at our hotel. *Note: The visit to the USS Midway aircraft carrier will be an exterior photo stop only.*

Day 3 — Los Angeles (Universal)

Free time in the morning. Guests who wish may join the optional Universal Studios Tour organised by our guide to spend a unique day in the heart of the American film industry. We head to Universal Studios, one of the largest film studios in the world. With celebrated director Steven Spielberg having served as creative consultant, this park is considered the world's number 1 studio and entertainment centre. Not merely a theme park, but also a product of nearly a century of cinema history and technology, here over 40 shows, film sets, spectacular rides, and roller coasters make you feel as if you are inside the films. Free time following the tour. Overnight stay at our hotel.

Day 4 — Los Angeles

Following our breakfast, you will have free time to explore Los Angeles at your own pace. For today, we recommend visiting the Griffith Observatory and its surrounding area, which boasts some of the finest views in the city. Perched in the Hollywood Hills, the Griffith Observatory is one of the most striking vantage points from which to take in Downtown Los Angeles, the cityscape stretching towards the Pacific Ocean, and the world-famous Hollywood Sign. Here, you can explore the observatory's astronomy exhibits, take photographs from the open-air terraces, and spend time strolling along the walking trails of Griffith Park. Afterwards, you may head to the Los Feliz neighbourhood, one of Los Angeles' most distinctive districts. Renowned for its independent cafés, boutique shops, and restaurants, this area is ideal for having lunch and experiencing the city's local way of life. In the afternoon, guests who wish may visit The Grove shopping centre and the historic Original Farmers Market situated right next door. With its open-air shopping areas, restaurants, and a diverse range of international cuisines, you can spend a truly delightful few hours here. In the evening, return to our hotel independently. Overnight stay at our hotel.

Day 5 — Los Angeles

For today, we recommend heading to the Malibu area to experience California's world-renowned coastal lifestyle. Stretching along the Pacific Ocean, Malibu is one of Los Angeles' most exclusive districts, famed for its scenic coastline, natural beauty, and celebrity residences. You can start your day around Malibu Pier and stop for breakfast or a coffee break at one of the cafés overlooking the ocean. Afterwards, you can proceed to Zuma Beach, one of Malibu's finest beaches, for a walk along the Pacific shore and to enjoy the sun and the sea. For nature and photography enthusiasts, Point Dume—with its rocky cliffs and sweeping ocean panoramas—is an excellent spot to explore. In the afternoon, you can dine at Malibu's seaside restaurants and discover the area's boutique shops. In the evening, return independently to Los Angeles. Overnight stay at our hotel. Note: Hiring a car or arranging private transport is recommended for the Malibu itinerary.

Day 6 — Los Angeles

You can spend our final free day in Los Angeles exploring the city's cultural, artistic, and shopping highlights. You may begin your day around the Walt Disney Concert Hall, renowned for its striking architecture. Designed by the world-famous architect Frank Gehry, this structure is one of Los Angeles' modern architectural icons. Afterwards, you can visit The Broad Museum, where contemporary works of art are exhibited, and get a closer sense of the city's vibrant cultural scene. Around lunchtime, you can head to Grand Central Market, one of Los Angeles' historic food halls, to sample flavours from a variety of international cuisines. A short walk thereafter will bring you to the historic Bradbury Building and the Angels Flight Railway area for some exploring. In the afternoon, guests wishing to shop can browse the stores in the Downtown area or make their way to various shopping centres across the city. After our scheduled transfer time, we transfer to the airport and board Turkish Airlines flight TK 10 departing for Istanbul at 18:25.

Day 7 — Istanbul

Arrival in Istanbul at 18:25 local time and the end of our tour.
