Day 2 — New York
Breakfast included
Following breakfast, we begin a jam-packed full-day programme exploring New York City inside and out. First, we travel by metro to Battery Park at the southernmost tip of Manhattan, home to a historic circular fort that once housed cannons used in the defence of New York. We board our ferry and take photographs of the Statue of Liberty against the backdrop of the stunning Manhattan skyline, beginning our exploration of the island upon arrival. After reaching the very foot of the Statue of Liberty and hearing the stories of the statue and the immigrants who passed through here, you can explore the museum or savour a coffee during the free time provided by your tour guide. (Depending on weather conditions and ferry queues, your guide may adjust the schedule.) We return by ferry from the island to Battery Park. After seeing the monument where we begin the founding story of New York, a delightful walking route awaits us. Passing through the Financial District, Wall Street, the iconic Charging Bull statue, and the Stock Exchange, we view the 9/11 Memorial built in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, the One World Trade Center tower, and the architecturally striking Oculus building, before continuing by metro to the Dumbo neighbourhood. After capturing photographs against the backdrop of America's renowned Brooklyn Bridge and listening to its history, we ascend the Empire State Building to admire Manhattan from above. (Subject to availability, your tour guide may redirect to One Vanderbilt instead.) Following our visit to what was once the world's tallest building, where we will enjoy bird’s-eye views over New York from the 86th floor, free time for shopping, dinner, and coffee. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 3 — New York
Breakfast included
Following breakfast, we set out on our Hidden Legends of New York tour. Our tour begins in the vibrant streets of Chinatown in the heart of New York, just as the city is waking up. After spending your morning where tradition meets contemporary rhythm, a short walk brings you to Little Italy, echoing the spirit of Italy amidst the aromas of espresso and freshly baked bread. During your exploration of this neighbourhood, you may feel as though you are watching "The Godfather" all over again. Next, as you stroll among the cast-iron buildings—erected before the widespread use of structural steel—and cobblestone streets of SoHo, you will discover where modern luxury meets historic character through its heritage architecture, chic boutiques, and art galleries. Your day continues on Perry Street in the West Village, renowned as the home of Carrie Bradshaw in the TV series "Sex and the City" and a true New York classic. This stop offers the perfect vantage point for an unforgettable photograph capturing the essence of your journey. For lunch, explore the flavours of world cuisine at Chelsea Market, a former Oreo factory, before setting off on a stroll along the High Line to witness the architectural splendour of Manhattan's West Side and views across the Hudson River. Your adventure continues with the Vessel at Hudson Yards; its extraordinary honeycomb-like structure invites you to climb its staircases for panoramic views of the surrounding cityscape. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a peaceful moment in Bryant Park. Here, take in the upscale surroundings and the magnificent sight of the New York Public Library, or join in a game of chess. Yet the story does not end there. As the city lights begin to sparkle, you will find yourself drawn to the grandeur of Grand Central Terminal. Far more than just a railway station, Grand Central—with its celestial ceiling and bustling concourses that have set the scene for countless films—is a tribute to New York's grand history and relentless rhythm. Following the tour, return to our hotel and overnight at our hotel.
Day 4 — New York - Atlantic City
Breakfast included
Following breakfast and hotel check-out, we will travel along the lush routes through New Jersey to visit Philadelphia, the birthplace of the United States where the Declaration of Independence was signed. Many surprises await us in this historic city, which served as America's capital after New York and prior to Washington, D.C. Taking advantage of its compact layout, we will have the opportunity to see numerous sights in a short period of time. Our first stop will be Philadelphia City Hall, followed by a visit to LOVE Park, where we can capture this scenic vista from two different perspectives. Next, Independence Hall (Independence Square) and, directly opposite, the Liberty Bell—one of the nation's key historical treasures visited by virtually every American. We will learn from our guide about its historical purpose, why it is cracked today, and anecdotes from the founding of the nation. Our next stop is the Philadelphia Museum of Art, one of America's grandest and finest art museums. This immense museum houses an extensive collection of historical masterpieces. Completed in 1928, it holds 240,000 works of art from around the globe, notably from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Moreover, as seen in the film Rocky Balboa familiar to almost all of us, the boxer portrayed by Sylvester Stallone carried out his training on the museum's steps. At this entrance, known as the Rocky Steps, you too can climb the stairs to the sound of that famous theme. In addition, the Rocky Balboa statue stands near the museum's east entrance, which we will also have the chance to see. We conclude our Philadelphia city tour by crossing the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, arriving in Atlantic City, the premier seaside resort of New Jersey and the Las Vegas of the East. Upon arrival in Atlantic City, a walking tour along the famous Boardwalk will take place. Overnight stay at our hotel.
Day 5 — Atlantic City
Breakfast included
Following breakfast, we head to Cape May, a peninsula marking the southernmost point of the state of New Jersey. In the historic square of Cape May, home to the magnificent summer residences of affluent Americans, we will enjoy the chance to shop, dine, and drink in a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere. Guests who wish will have the opportunity to swim at the glorious beaches (weather and season permitting). On our return to Atlantic City, you can discover new season collections from world-renowned brands, enjoy bargain shopping at outlet stores, or visit The Pier Shops at Caesars along the boardwalk to explore the retail stores. Alternatively, you may wish to try your luck at the city's casinos. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 6 — Atlantic City - Philadelphia - Washington
Breakfast included
Following breakfast, en route to Washington, we will stop at the Christiana Mall in the state of Delaware, where you can enjoy tax-free shopping, as Delaware levies no sales tax. Following our visit, we arrive in Washington. Our first stop is the Pentagon. We will proceed to a vantage point overlooking the Pentagon—the headquarters of the US Department of Defense, into which public entry is not permitted—where we will have the opportunity to see which wing was struck by the aircraft during the September 11 attacks. Our next stop is the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Erected in memory of the fallen and veterans of the Korean War, this memorial also holds great significance in Turkish history. We then visit Arlington National Cemetery. Established in 1864 during the American Civil War, this cemetery serves as the burial ground for service members who lost their lives in earlier conflicts as well as those who have served on behalf of the United States up to the present day. Following the tour, transfer to our hotel and time at leisure. Overnight stay at our hotel.
Day 7 — Washington DC
Breakfast included
Following breakfast, we begin exploring this magnificent city that welcomes us with its architecture, history, and culture, serving as the capital of the federal state. Set along the Virginia and Maryland banks of the Potomac River with a special administrative status, this city houses numerous governmental institutions. Among the places we will see are the US Capitol, which houses the Senate and the House of Representatives comprising the American Congress, the Library of Congress, Union Station, the national promenade known as the National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument. During our walk along the National Mall, we will also see the memorial dedicated to the fallen and veteran soldiers of America's wars. Our next stop is the Washington Monument. Our next stop is the World War II Memorial. Following the Thomas Jefferson Memorial comes perhaps the most eagerly anticipated highlight of our tour, The White House. We will proceed right up to the front of this site, the official residence of the American president. In the area open to visitors, we will have the chance to see people gathered 24/7 to protest the president and the snipers stationed on the rooftops. Burned by the British in 1814 during the British-American War, yet rebuilt after the war largely preserving its structure with particular care taken to keep it modest, this landmark awaits you in all its grandeur. Before returning to our hotel, M Street and Georgetown University will be our final stops. On this central thoroughfare, where we will have the opportunity to mingle with the locals of Washington D.C., we will find numerous shops, restaurants, and cafés. After a break along this vibrant street, we will have the chance to view the building of Georgetown University, regarded as one of America's finest universities. Upon arrival at our hotel, we will have free time to rest and shop. Overnight at our hotel.
